It is 1150pm on Friday evening of yet another week, and I sat here once again on my laptop as my wife, the boss woman, prepares for bed. She excepted me to come in but I said I have to put together a post first, my blog. She looked at me with a little shock because it is late but I told her if I don't do it now, it won't get done and not only that but I made a commitment to who's waiting for it, I didn't wont to let them down, I also made a promise to myself that I would do it and I donn't want to let me down either.
Today has been a long productive day, we landed back in Dubai at 245am but didn't get home until 4 am, then I was up 8 am for cardio, walked the dog and then sat plowing through my check ins with all my online clients, to make any needed or necessary changes to their plans in order for them to keep progressing forward. I also had a few consultations with new starters that have signed up today after our discussion, which I am excited about.
The reason why I am writing this blog a little later than intended is that we had a meeting with our marketing team, planning a campaign that we will launch from tomorrow. We went over the time we planned to fit it into but it was very beneficial for us all, so I was happy to sacrifice the little downtime we did plan tonight and push on with this, even if it meant sleeping less.
We have been in the air again, it used to be on the road, but now we have upgraded to flying a lot more, traveling the world connecting with so many like-minded people, spreading our words of wisdom and pushing the brand Globally. We attended another Top 1% JT Foxx event, which was so another amazing experience, we learned so much, so much to pass on. The event was set up to help business owners and entrepreneurs move their business to the next level or share an idea and get feedback from the world's number 1 wealth coach JT.
There were many breakthroughs and many breakdowns too, the man is so gifted and skilled, he can read people inside out and see the potential in everything, he is brutally honest and is deliverance in his message is not always welcomed but you can't deny advice from a man that as achieved so much from so little.
There were 49 of us there, around 29 new clients and 20 of us family, meaning we are life timers and have been at one of these events before so we know JT and JT knows us. What I realized is that every one of them up them in that hot seat for the first time, discussing an idea or an area they needed improvement in with their business, all shared one thing in common. They all had an issue with themselves that was effecting the outside and how they saw things. It was not their business that needed help, and I say that with the utmost respect, it was something they needed to overcome within, fear, doubt, implementations, regret, whatever it was, there was something that was stopping them move to the next level, they were stopping them.
I can relate to this too from my own experience. We can be our own worst bosses, employees, employer, friend, and enemy, we can be our worst nightmare. But we are the writer, director, producer, and actor in our own story we call life, we are the dream makers and the dreamer.
So as the saying goes and I have said this many times, in fact, I wrote a whole speak and presentation on this, if you want to change the world, start with changing you.
The event lasted 3 days, we stayed in London for 4, we trained at a few gyms in the center, Fitness First, Pure gym, the basic but good to go to kind of facilities. We met some incredible people, both on the event and at the gyms too, that's pretty much all we did, eat, sleep, train, network, learn, study, prepare and repeat, my kind of lifestyle.
By this time I was pumped, ready to put all the plans to work and start moving forward, with my new realization in why people are stuck.
There was a guy in the gym one morning, attempting to curl a weight that looked like he should be deadlifting it. He was an oldish chap, knee wrapped up, elbow sleeves on, looked like he was one step closer from a tear or a slipped disk. He had all the gear but no idea. I approached and introduced myself, I offered to give him some friendly advice, well I was about too before he cut me short and stated, he was fine and didn't need any help, he knew what he is doing he said. He clearly did, he wanted to get a few sick days off work I guessed, so I turned a blind eye and smiled, it was at that moment I also realized, in order to be coached, you must be coachable.
We made our way back to Wales, my home town, to see my family, my friends, my clients. It was such a blessing experience, I got to train at all the gyms I started out at, revisited my old school, spend time with my mum and close family, I also had the chance to catch up with many people I have known for years but haven't seen. It's crazy how time goes by and many of us change so rapidly that it's like we are talking to different people. I find it so interesting, how life molds us into our being, in that present moment. What I noticed is that most of the people I spoke to were depressed or stuck with their life, confused and unsettled, this was the same for everyone I spoke to about their fitness goals, It was becoming so easy for me to see, like staring at their life from a birds-eye view. See where they were, where they are and where they are mostly to end up if they continue down that path.
This is why I love what I do, transforming peoples lives, from transforming how they look, which transforms how the see themselves, how they feel, how they treat others and transforms their path.
The body is the easiest to change, it is a simple formula, like a balancing act, to lose weight we burn more that we eat, to gain we eat more than we burn, obviously building muscle is a little more specific or technical, but still easy when you know-how. These transformational results can not only be measured, but also seen, felt and also seen by others, which acts as a ripple effect. Not only are you feeling better about how you look, but others are noticing the positive changes too and what this can do for your self-esteem and confidence is miraculous, trust me, I have been there and I will share my story in my next blog about the start of my fitness journey.
What happens after the body transformation is that we set more goals, bigger ones, take on life-changing ambitions.
But it all stems from one moment, a flick of a switch, one event that will create a movement for all the paths that follow.
In some cases it could take forever to find a switch but once its found, its just a matter of flicking it.
That's where coaching, therapy, counseling, all these useful assets to better one's self can come very useful.
So what was my realization after all this rambling talk?
That we often search for answers outside of us, when really they are within, but usually locked away, waiting to be found and brought to life.
Ask yourself are you doing everything you can today to better your self tomorrow. Are you using all your time to push towards your purpose in life or are you making excuses for yourself so you can blame something or someone else?
When I first started out, I just wanted to train to look good. The more I lifted the more I enjoyed the actual Physical aspect and challenge. Even today, although I have competitive goals, the training and the challenge of pushing myself are what attract me to bodybuilding the most!
I’m going to throw this in there now so we are all on the same level, squatting, leg pressing, deadlifting, rowing, pressing, dipping style exercises are great movements that will put the most amount of stress on your body. These movements are what your workout plan should be based around for an increase in strength, mass, and testosterone.
WE ALL are gifted with the ability to break boundaries mentally and physically, we can achieve whatever we believe, our thoughts become things, we manifest ideas and visions when focusing so strongly on them but obviously within the laws of physics and our genetic limitations, even then I am still not totally convinced, I honestly believe that anything is POSSIBLE, anything!
PERSONAL BLOG I am sat on a flight back to Dubai after a surprise vacation for my 33rd birthday, which was a gift from my wife. We have spent 4 days in the Maldives, which is a dream destination, it was so beautiful, so picturesque. What a place to reflect on the year that has passed, plan and get excited about the year to come, whilst appreciating the now, where we are, what got us to this point and the position we are blessed to be in. We travel more than most and we have been fortunate enough to visit some incredible places in the world and each time we have we have returned with more value, respect, and awareness of the world we live in.
What I have seen more than ever is that most people see a pipe dream when it comes to their goals, they want to look like that guy or that girl, they want the end result but they don't want to do what it takes to get there or maybe it’s that they don't understand what it takes. "Everybody wants to go to heaven but no one is willing to die"!
PERSONAL BLOG 2 Well, it's almost time to end another day and start a new one. It is the weekend here in Dubai, it is Friday night but the week doesn't end for me, I always work every weekend and every weekday, I guess it never feels like work when you love what you do. Find your passion and turn it into your career they said. So that is what I did, I was lucky enough to realize very early on that I loved to help other people, to see them progress and to watch them get such joy out of their achievements. Another love of mine was always fitness and weight training, seeing the body adapt to the stresses placed on it, overcoming struggling, getting stronger and getting bigger. Now I am fortunate enough to help people benefit from fitness and lifting weights. Seeing other people's lives transform, sharing my passion and passing it quickly become theirs. A DOUBLE WHAMMY, wow how lucky am I, no wonder I am always looking for the next person to help transform themselves and why I am always training, my 2 passions.
We have reached another weekend, it has been a productive week as always moving forward towards my goals but like always, I am here wondering where has the time gone, the time I will never get back. Sometimes the thought on the theory that this is one life, one shot, one chance to make a difference to the world or at least leave your imprint for others to follow, can be as daunting as it can be motivating to either hop, skip or stroll through each waking day.
